Academic Framework and Support

The Digital Guide to Riga’s Places of Worship was developed as part of the Introduction to Digital Humanities course. The course emphasizes the integration of traditional humanities research with digital technologies, encouraging students to create sustainable, interactive platforms that enhance public engagement and scholarly analysis.

The project was supported by Riga Technical University, collaboration with faculty and digital humanities specialists Patrick Gavin and Ahmad M. Kama ensured adherence to academic standards, rigorous methodological design, and effective data management practices.

The project exemplifies the pedagogical goals of the course: to foster interdisciplinary thinking, apply digital tools to humanities research, and create outputs that serve both academic and public audiences. By situating the project within an institutional and educational framework, it not only advances scholarly knowledge but also contributes to teaching, learning, and public engagement initiatives.
